We
grow several varieties in order to have them for a long a season as
possible. Our
strawberries are grown in rows that are only about 2 feet wide
so that no one has to
reach to far, to pick the middle of the rows, and
because the best berries are always
on the edge of the row. With narrow rows
you have a lot more edges. Also we don’t
like weeds, you don’t have to
hunt for the berry plants in our field And there is lots
of straw between
the rows to keep you out of the mud if it rains.
